Homebrew quickstart
Install Node Vertex in one command.
Turn localhost into globalhost. Create vertices, publish files, expose apps, and connect workflows from the terminal in seconds.
brew tap nrun/tap
brew install nv
nv enroll
nv create hello --value "Every workflow starts with a vertex."
First vertex
After enrollment, your terminal is trusted and ready to create vertices.
nv create hello --value "Every workflow starts with a vertex."
nv get hello
App Vertex: localhost to globalhost
Your container starts on localhost. Node Vertex turns it into infrastructure.
# Start an app locally
python3 -m http.server 8181
# Expose it globally through a secure App Vertex
nv app expose http://localhost:8181 --name dashboard --analytics --yes
Expected result: a secure public endpoint like https://nodevertex.com/{tenant}/apps/dashboard with sessions, Vertex Firewall controls, tunnel analytics, and authentication options.
Common commands
Create values
nv create status --value "green"
nv create config --json '{"enabled":true}'Static HTML
nv create site/home --type html --file index.htmlAnalytics Vertex
nv create mysite/analytics --type analyticsSecrets
nv create secret/api-key --secret --ttl 5m --read-onceSecurity and trust
- Homebrew validates the SHA256 checksum for the platform tarball.
- The CLI uses TLS-only transport to Node Vertex endpoints.
nv enrollcreates local credentials so manual API key generation is not required.- Future phases should add signed binaries and macOS notarization.
Update and troubleshoot
brew update
brew upgrade nv
nv doctor
nv whoami
If an App Vertex shows waiting for tunnel, keep the local nv app expose process running or reattach with nv app tunnel.
